Apart from being one of the largest and oldest statues, The Great Sphinx Of Giza is one of the ancient’s greatest mysteries. During the classical Era, it was named the Sphinx after the great Greek beast. It is believed by many scholars that that Sphinx was established or created during the Pharaoh Khafra. A few also believe that it may be created by a lost ancient civilization.
6.Leshan Giant Buddha: Leshan, China.
The Leshan Giant Buddha is 233ft high. It is the largest stone of Buddha in the whole world. In the 8th century, it was carved in the hillside of Xijuo Peak. It seems to look down at the three rivers and also faces Mount Emei and is known as one of the holiest places of Buddhism. The drainage system is one of the reasons of its well-preserved state as till today it carries away water.
